Wine Rack

This was a home improvement project. The idea was initiated by my wife who is an interior designer. I then developed the idea further through 3D modelling and the making of a partial prototype, as seen in the video.

The wood used is standard 2 x 4 dimensional lumber and cost only $10.

The metal racks are 3/8" stainless steel rods purchased from the metal supermarket, costing considerably more-- around $200.

To ensure that all the holes were drilled the same fixed distance apart to allow the rods to sit straight, a metal drilling template was used.

Perhaps one of the most challenging parts of this project was finding the right finish, as we wanted it to match our dining table.

I hope you enjoy watching this video.
